Bayern Munich Secures Record-Extending 35th Bundesliga Title
Bayern Munich secured their record-extending 35th Bundesliga title with a 4-2 home win over Stuttgart, leaving the door open for Borussia Dortmund to challenge them in the final stretch of the season. The victory marked Bayern’s 13th consecutive Bundesliga title and their 35th league championship.
The match saw Harry Kane score his 32nd goal of the campaign, while Raphael Guerreiro, Nicolas Jackson, and Alphonso Davies also found the net for Bayern. Stuttgart’s Chris Fuhrich and Chema Andres scored for the visitors.
Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany made several tactical changes, leaving regular starters including Kane, Michael Olise, Manuel Neuer, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Dayot Upamecano, and Jonathan Tah on the bench. The team fell behind early in the match but rallied to score three goals in seven minutes, taking control of the game by halftime.
Kane scored again in the second half to seal the victory for Bayern. With four games remaining in the season, Bayern have 79 points and a goal difference of 80, setting them up for potential records in both points and goal difference.
The team’s impressive performance has been marked by their high-scoring offense, with 109 goals scored this season – the most in Bundesliga history. If the season ended today, Bayern would become the first team to have a greater goal difference than points tally in Bundesliga history.
