Chelsea signs Rosenior as replacement for Maresca in Premier League

Strasbourg Coach Liam Rosenior Confirms Verbal Agreement with Chelsea

Liam Rosenior, coach of Racing Strasbourg, has confirmed that he has reached a verbal agreement with Chelsea FC to become their next manager. However, no contract has been signed yet.

Rosenior made the announcement at a news conference in Strasbourg, France, on Tuesday. He stated that everything is agreed upon and will likely be finalized in the coming hours. Rosenior will take his assistants, Kalifa Cisse and Justin Walker, with him to Chelsea.

The 41-year-old coach joined Racing Strasbourg in 2024 and has said that his time at the club has been the most rewarding period of his career. He expressed gratitude for the opportunities he had met during his tenure, including creating memories and making history.

Rosenior had previously stated that he had received interest from multiple clubs, including Champions League teams, but was transparent with Strasbourg’s ownership about these offers. He emphasized that he will always cherish Racing Strasbourg but felt compelled to pursue an opportunity at Chelsea.

It is worth noting that Rosenior has no prior experience in the Premier League, and this appointment would mark his first stint as a permanent manager of the club since BlueCo took control in 2022.
