Aleppo Residents Displaced Due to Ongoing Clashes
Thousands of residents in northern Aleppo have been forced to flee their homes due to intense fighting between Syrian government forces and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The clashes, which began for a third consecutive day, have resulted in widespread displacement.
On Thursday at 1:30pm local time, the Syrian Army Operations Command imposed a curfew across the Kurdish-majority neighbourhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zeid. Following this declaration, government forces launched “targeted operations” against SDF positions in these areas.
As a result, civilians have been evacuated through humanitarian corridors established by the Syrian army. Many residents departed on foot with limited possessions, uncertain about their future living arrangements.
The conflict has led to significant displacement of people, with thousands forced to leave their homes without knowing when or if they will be able to return. The situation remains fluid, with ongoing fighting and military operations affecting the area.
