Clinton Couple Set to Testify in Jeffrey Epstein Deposition Proceedings

Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Scheduled to Testify Before House Oversight Committee

On Thursday, February 26, and Friday, February 27, respectively, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will appear before the House Oversight Committee in Chappaqua, New York. The committee is conducting an investigation into the network of influence and crime associated with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The Clintons’ testimony will be given as part of a congressional investigation, during which they will provide sworn, out-of-court statements under oath. The session will take place behind closed doors, and the testimony will be recorded and transcribed. Those providing false information may face legal consequences.

Initially, the Clintons resisted testifying, citing concerns that the inquiry was politically motivated. However, after the House signalled its intention to move towards a bipartisan vote to hold them in contempt, they agreed to appear. Chairman James Comer stated that “no one is accusing the Clintons of any wrongdoing,” but rather has many questions.

The depositions will be held near the Clintons’ residence in Chappaqua, and the exact times have not been publicly confirmed. The committee typically schedules depositions during normal business hours. In previous iterations of the subpoena, the Clintons were ordered to appear at 10am local time.

Former President Clinton’s deposition was initially requested for October 2025 and rescheduled for December. He declined to appear, citing a funeral. A follow-up subpoena set January 13, 2026, but he did not attend. Former Secretary of State Clinton’s deposition was initially scheduled for October 9, 2025, and later moved to December 18. She also declined to appear on the new date.

The Clintons have argued that the subpoenas were legally invalid and accused Comer of targeting them as part of a broader campaign of political retribution aligned with former President Donald Trump. However, they have since agreed to testify and requested that their testimonies be held publicly.
