Two former US presidents and their spouses have refused to testify in a congressional inquiry into Jeffrey Epstein’s death. The inquiry is being led by the House Oversight Committee.

Bill Clinton, who was a friend of Epstein’s, has been subpoenaed to appear before the committee as part of its investigation into Epstein’s association with high-ranking officials and politicians. However, Clinton has declined to comply with the subpoena, citing concerns about the committee’s jurisdiction.

Hillary Clinton, Bill’s wife, has also refused to testify in the inquiry. The committee had previously issued a contempt citation against her for failing to respond to a request for information related to Epstein’s death.

The House Oversight Committee is led by Republican Representative J. Kenneth Bacon and has been investigating Epstein’s association with politicians and high-ranking officials. The committee has stated that it will continue to pursue its investigation, despite Clinton’s refusal to comply with the subpoena.

In a statement, Representative Bacon said that the committee would move forward with contempt charges against Bill Clinton for failing to appear before the committee as requested.
