Eleven Palestinians reported dead in Israeli military operations in Gaza

US President Donald Trump has announced that the first meeting of his newly created “Board of Peace” will take place on Thursday in Washington, DC. The board’s inaugural gathering is expected to be attended by its 20 members.

According to reports, at least 11 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip following recent Israeli attacks. Hospital sources confirm that Israeli forces targeted tents sheltering people in the Jabalia refugee camp, resulting in the deaths of at least five Palestinians. Additionally, five others were killed in Israeli attacks west of Khan Younis.

Separately, Sami al-Dahdouh, a commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s armed wing, was killed in an Israeli attack in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood east of Gaza City. Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem has condemned the Israeli attacks as a “new massacre” and a “criminal escalation”.

The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, mediated by the United States and Qatar, came into effect on October 10, 2025. Since then, Israeli attacks have resulted in over 600 Palestinian deaths and more than 1,600 injuries.

Israel has reported violating the ceasefire at least 1,620 times since its implementation. The US President has stated that members of the Board of Peace have pledged over $5 billion towards rebuilding Gaza and committed personnel to maintaining security and peace for Gazans.

The US has invited countries to contribute $1 billion to join the Board of Peace, with reports suggesting that the United Arab Emirates may be the first country to pledge this amount. The board’s 20 members are expected to discuss their plans at the upcoming meeting in Washington, DC.
