Epstein-Mandelson Files Reveal Shocking Revelations About UK Government

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced that he will provide details on the vetting process used by the Labour Party to approve Peter Mandelson’s appointment as ambassador to the United States in December 2024.

Newly released files from the US Department of Justice investigation into Jeffrey Epstein have revealed that Mandelson maintained his relationship with the billionaire financier after Epstein served a sentence for soliciting prostitution from a minor in 2008. The files also suggest that Mandelson may have received payments from Epstein and shared market-sensitive information with him, which was of financial interest to the late financier.

Epstein died in prison by suicide in 2019 before his trial could take place. Mandelson, who is now 72 years old, had previously served as a life peer in the House of Lords and was a member of the Labour Party’s cabinet under Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown from 1997 to 2010.

In response to the recent revelations, Starmer has apologized to victims of Epstein for appointing Mandelson as ambassador to the US despite knowing of his ties to the financier. The apology comes after the release of more than 3 million pages of documents, over 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images from the Epstein files.

Mandelson had previously resigned from the Labour Party on Sunday, citing regret and apologies for any embarrassment caused by his friendship with Epstein. He had also been linked to alleged leaks of sensitive information in 2009 while serving as business secretary. The UK police have launched a criminal investigation into Mandelson over suspected misconduct in public office linked to his relationship with Epstein.

Mandelson has previously faced similar allegations, including being fired as ambassador to the US in 2024 and resigning from ministerial posts for alleged misconduct on two occasions.
