A US District Court judge has dismissed a $10 billion defamation lawsuit filed by former President Donald Trump against The Wall Street Journal and its owner, Rupert Murdoch.
The lawsuit claimed that the WSJ’s reporting on a birthday card sent to Jeffrey Epstein, which included a handwritten note from Trump, was defamatory. However, the court has ruled in favor of the defendants, dismissing the lawsuit.
In another case, a judge also dismissed Trump’s defamation lawsuit against Murdoch and the WSJ over a report about a letter sent by Trump to Epstein on his birthday.
A US District Court judge has also dismissed a separate $10 billion defamation lawsuit filed by Trump against the WSJ and Murdoch.
The court’s decision means that Trump will not be able to pursue his claims against the defendants.
