Fifteen states sue Trump administration over revised vaccine schedule

Fifteen US states have filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, alleging that changes to the national vaccine schedule are unlawful. The lawsuits were announced by Democratic state attorneys general.

The states involved in the lawsuits include California, New York, and others. They claim that the revised vaccine schedule, which was introduced under the guidance of RFK Jr., is not supported by scientific evidence and puts public health at risk.

According to reports, the Trump administration had previously recommended a different vaccination schedule for children. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) later changed its recommendations, citing new data on vaccine effectiveness.

The lawsuits argue that the CDC’s revised recommendations are not based on sound science and may lead to reduced vaccine uptake among certain populations. The states involved in the lawsuit are seeking to block the changes to the national vaccine schedule.

Separately, California has also filed a lawsuit against the CDC, alleging that its unscientific vaccine recommendations pose a risk to public health.
