Four people killed in Ukrainian drone strikes against Russian targets

Russian Authorities Report Drone Attacks in Multiple Regions

At least four people have been killed and several others injured in large-scale drone attacks launched by Ukraine against multiple regions, including Moscow. The attacks, described as the largest in over a year, targeted various locations across Russia.

According to reports from Russian authorities, three individuals were killed in the Moscow region, with one person confirmed dead after a drone struck a house in Khimki, north of Moscow. Two other men were also reported killed in the village of Pogorelki in the Mytishchi district. The attacks also damaged apartment buildings and infrastructure sites.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that air defense systems shot down 81 drones targeting the capital overnight, with 12 people injured, mostly near Moscow’s oil refinery. However, the refinery continued to operate without disruption. Sheremetyevo airport reported drone debris on its grounds but no damage was caused.

The Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed intercepting 556 drones across the country during the attacks. Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials reported ongoing Russian attacks in parts of Ukraine, including the Kharkiv region, where seven people were wounded after being targeted by Russian forces over the past 24 hours. In the southern Kherson region, a 36-year-old man was killed after a drone dropped explosives on his village.
