Tyson Fury Defeats Arslanbek Makhmudov in Unanimous Points Decision
Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury returned to the ring on Saturday at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where he secured a unanimous points win over Russian boxer Arslanbek Makhmudov. The fight took place before a live audience and was closely watched by boxing fans worldwide.
Fury won all three judges’ scorecards, with two of them awarding him 120-108 and the third judge scoring it 119-109 after the maximum 12 rounds. Makhmudov made an initial strong impression in the first round, landing a left hand and connecting with an overhand right. However, by the third round, he began to show signs of fatigue.
Fury adjusted his strategy, switching stances and landing a one-two combination on Makhmudov’s chin. The fight continued in this manner until the final bell, with Fury emerging victorious. Fellow former world champion Anthony Joshua was present at the event, watching from ringside as Fury made a statement about their potential future matchup.
After the fight, Joshua expressed his intentions to face Fury in the future, stating that he would be ready when Fury is “ready” and that he will not be told what to do.
