Grammy winners denounce Immigration and Customs Enforcement practices

Several Grammy Award winners have publicly expressed their opposition to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in the United States.

During their acceptance speeches at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, Billie Eilish and Bad Bunny addressed ICE’s actions. Eilish stated that she was “really sad” about the treatment of migrants and refugees, while Bad Bunny expressed his frustration with the US government’s policies towards immigrants.

Other artists have also taken symbolic steps to show their disapproval of ICE operations. Some Grammy winners were seen wearing ‘ICE out’ pins on the red carpet, making a visible statement against the agency’s actions.

The Grammy Awards ceremony took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 4, 2021. The event was attended by numerous celebrities and music industry professionals.

A total of 82 awards were presented during the ceremony, recognizing excellence in various genres of music. The winners included artists such as Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Megan Thee Stallion.

The Grammy Awards are an annual music award ceremony that recognizes outstanding achievements in the music industry. The event is organized by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS).
