Documents Released in US Justice Department Investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s Crimes
A new batch of documents has been released as part of the US Justice Department’s investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The files, which include over three million pages of documents and emails, were made publicly available on Friday.
The documents reveal communications between Epstein and high-profile individuals from around the world, including those in India, the UK, Australia, Norway, Slovakia, and the US. These individuals include Anil Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Group, who is close to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to the emails, Ambani and Epstein exchanged messages on various topics, including setting up meetings for Modi with top US officials and discussing Israel strategy. The documents also show that Ambani asked Epstein for advice on a possible visit by Modi to meet Trump in May 2017.
The release of these documents has sparked interest globally, particularly in India, where the revelations have raised questions about the country’s relations with the US and Israel. In July 2017, Indian Prime Minister Modi became the first-ever Indian prime minister to visit Israel, marking a significant shift in India’s foreign policy.
It is worth noting that simply being named in Epstein documents or emails does not imply guilt of criminal wrongdoing. No charges have been brought against individuals named in connection with Epstein’s cases so far.
The US Justice Department has released these documents as part of its ongoing investigation into Epstein’s crimes, which include sex offenses and the sex trafficking of minors.
