Interest in Epstein Files Declines Following Launch of War on Iran

US Congressman Thomas Massie Comments on War with Iran Amid Epstein Files Fallout

A US Congressman has made a statement regarding the ongoing war with Iran. The comments were made by Republican US Congressman Thomas Massie, who previously helped pass the Epstein Files Transparency Act through Congress.

The Epstein files, released by the US Department of Justice, have been making headlines worldwide, implicating several high-profile individuals including former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and former UK Ambassador to the US Peter Mandelson. The scandal has also led to intense scrutiny for Israel’s former Prime Minister Ehud Barak and numerous others.

In response to the war with Iran, Massie stated that “bombing a country on the other side of the globe won’t make the Epstein files go away.” He has also expressed criticism towards the war.

Analyst Shaiel Ben-Ephraim from Atlas Global Strategies and a former Israeli diplomat was quoted as saying that the attack on Iran is largely driven by domestic politics in both the US and Israel. According to Ben-Ephraim, “there’s very little strategic rationale behind it.” He attributed the timing of the attack to the declining approval numbers for President Trump and the potential economic downturn.

The analyst also noted that the war has diverted attention away from the Epstein files, with Google search results plummeting since the start of the conflict. Ben-Ephraim speculated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may be seeking a distraction from the war to boost his approval ratings ahead of upcoming elections, which are reportedly scheduled for June.

The situation remains fluid, and further developments will likely unfold in the coming days.
