Pakistan Announces Readiness to Host Talks on US-Israel Conflict with Iran
Pakistan has announced its willingness to host talks aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict between the United States and Israel regarding their actions against Iran. The announcement comes as tensions in the region continue to escalate.
According to reports, Pakistan’s foreign minister recently hosted a meeting with senior diplomats from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt. Following the gathering, the Pakistani minister stated that Islamabad is prepared to host and facilitate negotiations between Iran and the United States.
The development has sparked interest among observers, who see this as a potential starting point for diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the conflict. Pakistan’s close relationships with both Tehran and Washington are believed to provide an advantage in facilitating mediation talks.
Experts have weighed in on the prospects of reaching a peace deal, but no consensus has been reached. The International Crisis Group’s director, Ali Vaez, and TEPAV’s director, Bozkurt Aran, will be among those sharing their insights during a forthcoming discussion.
Former Pakistani permanent representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, is also set to participate in the conversation. His perspective on the complexities of the situation will likely shed light on the challenges involved in achieving a peaceful resolution.
