Israel Experiences Missile Strikes in Tel Aviv
A series of missile strikes targeted Israel on Tuesday, resulting in damage and injuries in the city of Tel Aviv. The attacks occurred as uncertainty surrounds potential talks to end the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran.
According to reports, six people were lightly injured at four different locations in Tel Aviv. Police confirmed that several impact sites of munitions had been identified in the city. Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency medical service stated that the injuries were “light” but did not provide further details.
The Israeli military reported carrying out strikes against key command centers in central Tehran on Monday, targeting facilities associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ intelligence arm and the Iranian Intelligence Ministry. Additionally, more than 50 targets were hit overnight, including ballistic missile storage and launch sites.
In Tel Aviv, a multistorey apartment building suffered significant damage, with gaping holes torn through its structure. The cause of the damage was unclear, as it was not immediately known whether it was caused by a direct hit or debris from an interception.
Rescue efforts were underway in one damaged building where civilians had taken shelter. Meanwhile, Israel’s National Fire and Rescue Authority continued to search for people trapped in the affected area.
