US Conducts Second Day of Airstrikes in Iran

The United States has conducted airstrikes in Iran for a second consecutive day, targeting Sirik, Bandar-e Lengeh, and Qeshm Island. The strikes follow a drone attack on a commercial vessel near the Strait of Hormuz.

In response to the incident, air raid sirens were sounded in Bahrain, while Kuwait activated its air defences in response to “hostile missile and drone threats”. These developments have raised tensions across the region.

Separately, Israel has carried out new attacks on southern Lebanon, resulting in at least one fatality. This comes after a framework agreement was reached with the Lebanese government yesterday aimed at ending the conflict.
