Iran War Day 76: Progress Made in Talks Amid Ongoing Conflict

US Vice President JD Vance Comments on Iran Talks, China State Visit

United States Vice President JD Vance has stated that progress is being made in negotiations with Iran to end the war. This comes as President Donald Trump begins his state visit to China.

According to officials, Tehran’s latest proposal was rejected by President Trump as unacceptable. Despite this, diplomatic efforts continue to maintain a fragile ceasefire between Washington and Tehran.

Brigadier-General Mohammad Akrami Nia has warned that Iran’s military remains at “the highest level of readiness,” emphasizing the need for caution in light of ongoing tensions with the US. Iranian officials have indicated they are prepared to respond to any escalation.

Separately, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly made a visit to the United Arab Emirates during the conflict on Iran, where he met with the UAE president. However, the UAE has denied these claims, stating that their ties with Israel under the Abraham Accords are public and not based on secrecy or clandestine arrangements.

In related news, crowds gathered in Tehran’s Enghelab Square to celebrate Iran’s national football team ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The squad will represent “the people, the country’s fighters, the leader and the country,” according to Iranian football federation president Mehdi Taj.
