Irans judiciary to take action against foreign mercenaries involved in executions

Iran’s Judiciary Announces Continued Crackdown on Accused Foreign Agents

Tehran, Iran – The Iranian judiciary has reaffirmed its commitment to taking decisive action against individuals accused of working for foreign interests. According to a recent report from state television, authorities will continue to act decisively against those deemed enemies of the state.

Three men were executed in the northeastern city of Mashhad on Monday, following their arrest during nationwide protests in January. The men were labelled as agents of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad and leaders of riots by the authorities. State media aired confessions from the men, who allegedly used knives and swords against paramilitary Basij forces and damaged public property.

The executions are linked to the anti-establishment protests, which resulted in thousands of deaths amid a state-imposed internet shutdown. In recent weeks, an increasing number of prisoners have been hanged, particularly since the start of the US-Israel war on Iran on February 28.

According to reports, Iranian authorities have confiscated assets belonging to individuals accused of espionage for Israel and other national security charges. The judiciary has also announced the seizure of assets in Semnan province, east of Tehran, linked to individuals deemed “traitors” by the authorities.

Human rights organizations have reported that prisoners are not given fair trials and their families are pressured into remaining silent about arrests and executions. Iranian authorities reject these claims, stating that the judicial process remains legal and executions are carried out after being approved by Supreme Court judges.

The United Nations has confirmed that at least 21 people have been executed and over 4,000 arrested on national security-related charges since the start of this year’s war.
