Irans President Accuses US, Israel, and Europe of Waging Full-Fledged War

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that the United States, Israel, and Europe are engaged in a “full-fledged war” with his country. In an interview published on the official site of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Pezeshkian expressed concerns about the potential for future military action against Iran.

Pezeshkian noted that the US and its allies have imposed United Nations sanctions on Iran in September over its nuclear programme. He stated that Iranian military forces are stronger than when they were attacked by Israel and the US six months ago, despite facing challenges.

The president warned that if the US and Israel were to launch another attack, they would “naturally face a more decisive response”. Pezeshkian also emphasized that this conflict is different from previous ones, citing the complexity and difficulty of the current situation.

The US and its allies accuse Iran of seeking to acquire nuclear weapons, which Tehran has repeatedly denied. In June, Israel launched an unprecedented attack on Iranian military and nuclear sites, as well as civilian areas, triggering a 12-day war with Iran. The US later joined the operation, targeting three Iranian nuclear sites.

US President Donald Trump’s visit to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida is scheduled for this weekend. Netanyahu will reportedly push for more military actions against Iran, focusing on its missile programme.
