India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to embark on a two-day official visit to Israel this week, where he will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and engage in discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
The visit marks the latest development in the growing relationship between India and Israel. In recent years, the two countries have expanded their cooperation in various areas, including defense, trade, and technology.
India and Israel have also strengthened their diplomatic relations, with increased exchanges of high-level visits and agreements on regional security issues. The two nations have also cooperated on counter-terrorism efforts, sharing intelligence and expertise to combat common threats.
Despite historical tensions between India and Israel, the two countries have made significant strides in recent years. In 2007, India lifted its ban on arms exports to Israel, paving the way for increased military cooperation. Since then, India has become one of Israel’s largest trading partners in South Asia.
The visit by Indian Prime Minister Modi is seen as an opportunity for both leaders to discuss ways to deepen their economic and strategic ties. The two countries are expected to explore new areas of cooperation, including space exploration and cybersecurity.
