Israeli Forces Carry Out Attacks in Southern Lebanon, Resulting in One Fatality

Israeli Forces Launch Attacks on Southern Lebanon

Multiple attacks were carried out by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon on Sunday, resulting in one civilian death, according to Lebanese authorities. The military claimed that the strikes targeted a Hezbollah fighter and infrastructure.

The attacks occurred days after the Lebanese military completed the first phase of a nationwide plan to disarm Hezbollah south of the Litani River. However, Israel has expressed dissatisfaction with these efforts, calling them insufficient.

According to reports, an Israeli strike on a car in Bint Jbeil city killed one citizen. The Israeli army stated that the target was a member of Hezbollah, who it accused of breaching a truce agreement signed in 2024.

In addition to the attack in Bint Jbeil, enemy warplanes launched over 10 raids on Kfar Hatta, causing significant damage to buildings. An evacuation warning had been issued for the town earlier, followed by an announcement that Israeli forces were striking Hezbollah infrastructure in several areas.

The Israeli military also announced a strike targeting an underground site used for weapons storage belonging to Hezbollah. The country has repeatedly targeted Lebanon and its alleged Hezbollah infrastructure since the agreement was signed in 2024.

Since the truce, more than 300 people have been killed in attacks attributed to Israel. The Lebanese military has stated that it will continue to work towards bringing non-state group-held weapons under its control.
