Israeli Forces Launch Air Attacks and Fire on Gaza Strip Civilians
Multiple locations in the Gaza Strip have come under attack by Israeli forces, resulting in injuries to several Palestinians. According to medical sources, Israeli drone fire on Sunday injured civilians in the Zeitoun neighborhood of southern Gaza City. In al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, two people, including a girl, were wounded by Israeli gunfire.
Medical staff at local hospitals reported additional injuries in areas where Israeli forces were supposed to have withdrawn under the current ceasefire agreement. At Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in eastern Gaza City, three Palestinians were treated for injuries sustained from Israeli gunfire near Netzarim.
Israeli air attacks targeted buildings in Rafah in the south, while artillery shelled areas east of Jabalia in the north and the Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City. Helicopter gunfire was reported near the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, and Israeli naval forces fired towards the coast of Khan Younis.
The latest attacks occurred as a 15-member technocratic committee was established to provide public services to Palestinians in Gaza, under the supervision of a “board of peace” chaired by US President Donald Trump. The committee aims to address humanitarian needs in the territory, where approximately 2.2 million people face acute shortages.
Since October 10, Israeli forces have repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement, resulting in over 460 Palestinian deaths and more than 1,200 injuries. Israel continues to restrict the entry of food, medical aid, and shelter materials into Gaza, where conditions remain dire due to a lack of infrastructure and resources.
