The US Department of Justice has announced that it will not conduct an investigation into the actions of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent who fatally shot Renee Good, a 31-year-old woman. The decision comes after reports emerged that Good’s partner had been under investigation by federal officials.

In addition to the ICE agent, the FBI also launched an inquiry into the shooting, but it has since been closed due to lack of evidence. The Washington Post reported that the FBI probe was initiated following a complaint from Good’s family.

Meanwhile, six prosecutors have resigned from their positions in response to pressure to investigate the shooting. The New York Times reported that the prosecutors had faced criticism for not pursuing charges against the ICE agent involved in the incident.

The Department of Justice has confirmed that it will not be conducting an investigation into the actions of the ICE agent who shot Good. Al Jazeera also reported on the decision, stating that the DOJ would not be taking any further action regarding the incident.

It is worth noting that the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota had announced earlier this month that it was investigating the shooting and would be looking into whether there were any wrongdoing by the ICE agent involved. However, the Department of Justice has since stated that it will not be pursuing an investigation.

The Minneapolis Police Department initially investigated the incident, but found no evidence to suggest that the ICE agent’s actions were justified.
