Justice Department sues University of California over alleged antisemitic incidents

The US Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against the University of California (UC) alleging that the institution has failed to protect employees from a hostile environment due to their Jewish identity.

According to reports, the lawsuit claims that UCLA has not taken adequate steps to address instances of antisemitism and harassment on campus. The allegations include incidents involving Jewish students and staff who have faced open hostility and intimidation.

The lawsuit comes after President Donald Trump’s administration had previously sued the University of California over similar allegations of antisemitism on campus. The case was later settled out of court.
