Lebanon accuses Israel of pursuing scorched earth policy in conflict

US Warns Iran, Lebanon’s PM Describes Israeli Attacks as Collective Punishment

The United States has issued a warning to Iran, stating that military action against the country would be considered if a nuclear deal is not reached. Meanwhile, Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab has described recent attacks by Israel on Palestinian territories in Gaza and the West Bank as collective punishment.

According to reports, the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made the statement during a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. The warning was issued in an effort to pressure Iran into reaching a deal on its nuclear program.

In a separate development, Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab has condemned the Israeli attacks, describing them as collective punishment against the Palestinian population. The attacks have resulted in significant damage and loss of life in Gaza and the West Bank.

The Israeli military has launched airstrikes on several targets in Gaza and the West Bank, targeting Hamas militants and other groups deemed to be a threat by Israel. The attacks have been widely condemned by international leaders, who have called for an end to the violence.

The situation remains tense, with both sides dug in and refusing to back down. Diplomatic efforts are ongoing to try to reach a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
