US President Extends Lebanon Ceasefire for Three Weeks

The US President has announced a three-week extension of the ceasefire in Lebanon. The original ceasefire was put in place on August 4.

According to reports, Israel has continued to carry out demolitions and entrench its military presence in the region despite the ceasefire. Meanwhile, Hezbollah has responded with rocket fire.

Details of the ceasefire are as follows: it began on August 4 and was initially set to expire on August 21. The US President has now extended this period by three weeks, bringing the new end date to September 4.

It is worth noting that both Israel and Hezbollah have been accused of violating the terms of the ceasefire.
