Manchester United manager criticizes former players comments on team strategy

Manchester United Sacks Ruben Amorim, Glasner Emerges as Top Contender

Manchester United has parted ways with manager Ruben Amorim, who was at the helm for 14 months. The club announced the decision on Monday, citing a desire to move in a new direction.

Oliver Glasner, Crystal Palace’s current manager, is among the top contenders to replace Amorim. Glasner, 51, has been instrumental in leading Palace to their first major trophy since his arrival in 2024. The Austrian side won the Football Association Challenge Cup (FA Cup) last season, marking a significant milestone for the club.

Glasner’s contract with Crystal Palace is set to expire at the end of the current season. In a recent interview, he expressed uncertainty about extending his stay at Selhurst Park, stating that talks over a new deal were on hold.

When asked about potential job opportunities outside of Palace, Glasner replied, “I’m not allowed to bet.” He added that discussing other clubs would be against his contract and that the length of managers’ contracts holds little significance in predicting their future success.
