Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak Discloses Demographic Shift Plans
A recording of a meeting between former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has been released by the US Department of Justice. In the conversation, Barak discusses Israel’s efforts to alter its demographic makeup.
According to the recording, Barak stated that he had informed Russian President Vladimir Putin that Israel needed one million Russian-speaking immigrants to offset the Palestinian population. Barak claimed that this would allow Israel to be “more selective” and control the quality of immigrants more effectively than in the past.
Barak also mentioned that Russia’s immigration policies have been aligned with the right-wing, citing data on 996,059 immigrants from former Soviet republics arriving in Israel between 1989 and 2009. He noted that these immigrants tend to hold conservative views.
In addition, Barak expressed his desire to reform Israel’s laws regarding marriage, funerals, and Jewish identity. He suggested that this could lead to a significant increase in conversions to Judaism.
The Israeli government has been actively promoting immigration into the country for decades. A recent proposal aims to offer zero-percent income tax rates to new immigrants and returning residents arriving in 2026.
A separate issue has come to light regarding the Beta Israel community, which was transferred from Ethiopia to Israel in the 1980s and 1990s. This group has faced racism, exclusion, and police violence within Israeli society.
