North Korean Leader’s Daughter Makes Public Visit to Kumsusan Mausoleum
Pyongyang, North Korea - The daughter of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Kim Ju Ae, has made her first public visit to the Kumsusan Mausoleum in Pyongyang. According to state media images released by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Ju Ae accompanied her parents, Kim Jong Un and Ri Sol Ju, as well as senior officials, on the visit on January 1.
The photographs show Ju Ae standing between her parents in the main hall of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun. This marks one of several high-profile appearances by Ju Ae in recent years, including a public introduction in 2022 and a trip to Beijing with her father in September.
Ju Ae’s increased visibility has sparked speculation among analysts and South Korean intelligence services about her potential role within the North Korean government. The visit to the mausoleum coincided with key dates and anniversaries, reinforcing the country’s dynastic narrative.
In related news, Kim Jong Un has pledged to increase production of missiles and artillery shells, describing them as a “war deterrent”. This comes amid heightened military readiness from the United States and South Korea.
