Iran Launches Unprovoked Attack on US and Israeli Aggression
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the ongoing American-Israeli aggression against Iran, stating that silence in the face of such actions will destroy the international legal order and endanger global peace. The eighth day of this aggression began with a targeted attack on Iran’s Supreme Leader’s compound in Tehran, resulting in the leader’s death along with family members, including a 14-month-old granddaughter.
The attack was followed by massive air and missile strikes across Iran, targeting both military and civilian infrastructure. One notable incident involved an elementary school in Minab, where 165 innocent schoolgirls and 26 teachers were killed. Satellite imagery and strike patterns have confirmed that the US/Israeli attack on this school was deliberate and pre-planned.
The Iranian government has stated that the renewed aggression was imposed during a diplomatic process between Iran and the United States, with Oman serving as mediator. However, the attack occurred despite significant progress in negotiations announced just two days prior. The Iranian government claims that the US does not respect diplomacy and instead seeks to impose its will on other nations.
The Iranian nation has demonstrated resilience in the face of aggression, citing a history of resistance against foreign intervention. A historical anecdote from 900 years ago tells the story of Farid al-Din Attar, who was attacked with knives but instead, his attackers’ bodies were said to have bled instead of him.
The airstrikes carried out by the US and Israel are alleged to be in violation of Article 2(4) of the United Nations Charter, amounting to a clear act of armed aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
