Over 110 people killed in Irans Kurdistan region official reports

US-Israeli Attacks on Iran’s Kurdistan Province Result in Significant Casualties

At least 112 people have been killed and 969 injured in a series of attacks carried out by the United States and Israel on Iran’s Kurdistan province, according to local officials. The head of the Kurdistan Provincial Emergency Department confirmed the fatalities and injuries in a statement.

The attacks are believed to be linked to ongoing diplomatic efforts between Washington and Iranian Kurdish groups. It is reported that President Donald Trump has been in direct talks with these groups, although details of the discussions remain unclear.

Iranian Kurdish opposition movements have long operated from bases in northern Iraq and areas along the Iran-Iraq frontier. These groups are estimated to field several thousand fighters and have resisted Tehran’s authority.

In response to the attacks, Iranian forces launched an operation against Kurdish groups in their semi-autonomous region of neighboring Iraq last week. The Iraqi Kurdish regional government has denied involvement in any plans to arm Kurdish groups and send them into Iran.

The situation remains fluid, with multiple parties involved. Further information is needed to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the attacks and their aftermath.
