Police Search Ex-Prince Andrews Former Home After Arrest Yesterday

British Police Conduct Search at Royal Lodge Home

Thames Valley Police conducted a search at Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s former home, the Royal Lodge residence on Windsor estate, for the second consecutive day. The search follows questioning of the 66-year-old royal on suspicion of misconduct in public office related to his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

On Thursday, Mountbatten-Windsor was released under investigation after being held by police for 11 hours over allegations that he sent confidential government documents to Epstein. Police had previously raided Wood Farm, a property on the King’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, and the Royal Lodge residence during his time in custody.

Unmarked vans were seen entering the grounds of Windsor throughout Friday morning. Mountbatten-Windsor remains under investigation by Thames Valley Police, which means he has neither been charged nor exonerated by the force responsible for areas west of London.

A statement from the police force stated that officers have opened a full investigation into the offence of misconduct in public office. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.

In 2022, Mountbatten-Windsor’s brother settled a civil lawsuit brought by Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexually abusing her when she was a teenager. Other police forces are conducting their own investigations into Epstein’s links to the UK, including reviewing flight logs at airports.

The Metropolitan Police is also assessing whether London’s airports may have been used to facilitate human trafficking and sexual exploitation, in collaboration with US counterparts. The police force has asked past and present officers who protected Mountbatten-Windsor to consider whether they saw or heard anything relevant to the investigations.
