Prosecutors seek subpoena for Tiger Woods prescription medication records

Florida Prosecutors Seek Prescription Records from Tiger Woods

Prosecutors in Florida have announced plans to issue a subpoena for Tiger Woods’ prescription medication records from Lewis Pharmacy in Palm Beach, Florida. The request is related to an ongoing driving under the influence case against the golfer.

According to court documents, the subpoena seeks information on all prescriptions filed by Woods at the pharmacy from January 1 through December of last year. This includes details on the number of pills dispensed, dosage amounts, and any instructions provided, such as warnings about operating a vehicle while taking certain medications.

Woods pleaded not guilty in his driving under the influence case last week, following an incident where his SUV crashed on Jupiter Island. Authorities reported that Woods showed signs of impairment after the accident and had two pain pills found in his pocket. He agreed to a Breathalyzer test but refused a urine test.

The incident report stated that Woods was traveling at high speeds on a residential road with a speed limit of 30 miles per hour when the accident occurred, resulting in $5,000 in damage to his vehicle. Woods has since taken a leave of absence to seek treatment for what he described as a personal issue.

This is not the first time Woods has taken a leave following a car crash. In 2009, he took a four-month leave after his SUV crashed into a fire hydrant and tree outside his home near Orlando. He also experienced a serious car accident in Los Angeles in 2021 that damaged his right leg.
