PSG edges out Bayern Munich to secure spot in Champions League final

Paris Saint-Germain Advances to Champions League Final with 6-4 Aggregate Win Over Bayern Munich

Paris Saint-Germain secured a spot in the Champions League final after drawing the second leg against Bayern Munich 1-1, taking the aggregate score to 6-5. The match was played at Bayern’s Allianz Arena in Germany.

In the first half, PSG scored early on and Ousmane Dembele put his team ahead with a goal just under three minutes into the game. Despite Bayern’s efforts to equalize, PSG largely controlled the attacking threat of their opponents. However, Harry Kane scored a stoppage-time goal for Bayern, reducing the deficit.

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany acknowledged that his team was unable to capitalize on several refereeing decisions in favor of PSG. “I don’t have the ability to be disappointed for long,” he said. “Of course, in the end we lost two very, very tight games against a very good opponent.”

The match saw both teams make only one change to their starting lineups compared to the first leg. Bayern’s Michael Olise had an off night, while PSG’s Fabian Ruiz made his first European appearance since January.

PSG forward Desire Doue praised the team’s performance, saying, “It was an exceptional match, another magical night in Munich against a great team.” The French giants will now face Premier League leaders Arsenal in the Champions League final on May 30 in Budapest.
