Barcelona Secures Top-Eight Finish with 4-1 Win Over Copenhagen

Raphinha added a third goal for Barcelona in the 69th minute, before Marcus Rashford sealed the win with a free kick in the 85th minute. The victory marked Barcelona’s fifth place finish in the standings, level with Manchester City, Chelsea, and Sporting but ahead on goal difference.

Copenhagen goalkeeper Dominik Kotarski was left helpless as Yamal scored his second goal, which gave Barcelona a 3-1 lead. Despite the comfortable final result, questions remain about Barcelona’s defensive organization, as they completed the league phase without a clean sheet and finished with the worst defense among top 13 teams.

In other Champions League news, Paris Saint-Germain drew 1-1 with Newcastle to finish out of the top eight places in the league table. PSG will enter the playoffs instead of qualifying automatically for the last 16. The draw was a disappointing result for PSG, who had Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele miss an early penalty and a golden chance from close range.
