Four US Senators from Kentucky have expressed opposition to the proposed legislation aimed at halting President Donald Trump’s military actions against Iran.

The Republican senators, who represent the state in the Senate, voted down the bill that would limit the president’s ability to engage in military conflict without congressional approval.

According to reports, four House Democrats also opposed the war powers resolution, which was introduced by Representative Joe Neguse of Colorado and Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland.

The resolution aimed to rein in Trump’s authority on Iran but ultimately failed to pass both chambers of Congress.

In a statement, Representative Neguse said that “Donald Trump is not a king” and that the president should be held accountable for his actions.

The outcome of the vote has sparked debate among lawmakers and observers about the limits of presidential power and the role of Congress in foreign policy decisions.

The Senate’s rejection of the bill marks the first time that Congress has voted on a resolution aimed at limiting Trump’s authority on Iran.
