Seattle Seahawks Win Super Bowl LX with Dominant Defensive Display
The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The game saw a low-scoring affair, with both teams struggling to find their rhythm on offense.
The Seahawks’ defense was instrumental in securing the win, sacking Patriots quarterback Drake Maye six times, including one that resulted in a fumble returned for a late touchdown. Jason Myers connected on five field goals for the Seahawks, while Sam Darnold scored a touchdown with AJ Barner.
Seattle received the ball to start the game and went on an eight-play drive that set up a 33-yard Myers field goal. The Patriots responded with a score of their own, but the Seahawks maintained their lead throughout the first half. A costly fumble by Maye late in the third quarter led to a Barner touchdown, which was followed by a Patriots response.
The game remained relatively low-scoring until the fourth quarter, when the Seahawks sealed the win with a strip sack of Maye, which saw Uchenna Nwosu scoop up the loose ball and return it 44 yards for the score. The Patriots attempted an onside kick but failed to recover, securing Seattle’s victory.
Seattle running back Kenneth Walker III was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) after rushing for 135 yards on 27 carries. His performance proved decisive in securing the Seahawks’ second Super Bowl title.
