At Least Five Palestinians Killed in Israeli Drone Attack on Gaza Refugee Camp
A drone strike by Israel has killed at least five Palestinians in Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, according to officials from the civil defense and hospital agencies. The attack occurred on Tuesday, with reports indicating that several others were wounded.
The incident is part of a series of air strikes carried out by Israel in Gaza, which have resulted in the deaths of multiple individuals. Local media reports suggest that the drone strike targeted Palestinians who had confronted an alleged Israeli-backed armed group operating in eastern Maghazi camp.
According to eyewitness accounts and sources, the armed group allegedly backed by Israel was able to withdraw safely from the area following the strike. Following the incident, Israel carried out additional air strikes, including one that hit a family home.
In southern Gaza, at least two people were killed and several others wounded in an Israeli attack on a vehicle in Khan Younis city. The total number of Palestinians killed by Israel since the “ceasefire” agreement came into effect in October has exceeded 900, according to official reports.
Israel’s military has reported that four of its soldiers have been killed by Palestinian armed groups since the ceasefire took effect. The Israeli government has acknowledged providing support to groups opposed to Hamas during its conflict with Gaza.
