Spain to Host 2030 World Cup Final

Spain, Portugal, and Morocco to Co-host 2030 World Cup; Final Location Remains Uncertain

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Moroccan Football Federation have confirmed that Spain will host the final of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which it is cohosting with Portugal. The announcement was made by RFEF President Rafael Louzan at an event organized by the Madrid Sports Press Association.

Louzan stated that Spain has proven its organizational capacity over many years and will be the leader of the 2030 World Cup. He did not provide a specific location for the final match, but mentioned that it could potentially take place in Madrid’s Bernabeu or Barcelona’s Camp Nou stadiums.

Morocco had expressed interest in hosting the final at Casablanca’s Grand Stade Hassan II, which is currently under construction and expected to hold 115,000 spectators. However, Louzan acknowledged the challenges Morocco faced during its hosting of the Africa Cup of Nations, including fan disruptions and player protests.

The location of the 2030 World Cup final remains uncertain, with FIFA having the final say on the matter. The organization has stated that it is premature to decide the venue for the tournament, citing the example of the 2026 World Cup final, which was revealed only two years before the event.
