Tehran to Unveil Plan for Hormuz Toll, Amid Tensions with Israel and Lebanon

Iran Announces Plan for Managing Traffic in Strait of Hormuz

Iran has announced that it will soon unveil its plan to manage traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway connecting the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman. The plan includes the implementation of tolls and other measures to regulate maritime traffic.

US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that failure to reach a peace deal will result in severe consequences for Tehran. In a statement, Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref stated that his country will no longer permit “enemy” military equipment to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

Separately, Israel has continued its military operations in southern Lebanon with an air attack on the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah. The details of this incident are currently being verified.

The Iranian government’s plan for managing traffic in the Strait of Hormuz is expected to be announced soon. The implementation of tolls and other measures is likely to have significant implications for maritime trade in the region.
