Brazilian Activist Arrives in São Paulo After Detention and Deportation from Israel
Thiago Ávila, a Brazilian activist, has returned to São Paulo after being detained and deported from Israel. During his detention, Ávila alleged that he was subjected to torture and witnessed the abuse of Palestinian prisoners.
Ávila’s 10-day detention in Israel began on [date] and ended on [date]. He had been traveling through the country when he was arrested by Israeli authorities.
