Three people, including a child, killed in Israeli air raid on Gaza home

Medical workers at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah reported that three individuals were found dead following an Israeli air raid on a residence in the Nuseirat refugee camp. The victims have been identified as Mohammad Abu Mallouh, his wife Alaa Zaqlan, and their six-month-old child Osama.

According to hospital officials, approximately 10 people were injured in the attack. There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military regarding the incident.

Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect in October, Israel has continued to carry out near-daily attacks across the Gaza Strip. According to Gaza health authorities, nearly 900 people have been killed as a result of these attacks since the ceasefire began.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli bombing began on Sunday morning as Palestinians were fleeing following forced displacement orders. Many individuals were seen running while carrying personal belongings, including mattresses.

Separately, Israeli forces continued demolishing homes and civilian infrastructure in eastern Gaza on Sunday behind Israel’s designated military zones and buffer areas. Additionally, Israeli jets carried out air raids on Deir el-Balah, causing extensive damage near a hospital.

Gaza Government Media Office reported that at least 2,400 Israeli violations were documented in the first six months of the ceasefire, including over 1,100 air raids and at least 921 shootings targeting civilians. Since Israel’s launch of its military operation on Gaza in October 2023, more than 72,000 Palestinians have been killed.

Talks between Israel and Hamas aimed at reaching a permanent end to the conflict have stalled, with both sides accusing each other of violating the ceasefire. Human Rights Watch reported that Gaza’s humanitarian infrastructure remains in peril, more than six months after the start of the ceasefire.
