Tiger Woods Charged With DUI After Rollover Crash In Florida

Tiger Woods Arrested Following Car Crash on Jupiter Island

Tiger Woods, a professional golfer, was arrested at the scene of a car crash in Jupiter Island, Florida, where he struck another vehicle and rolled his Land Rover. The incident occurred just after 2pm local time.

According to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek, Woods and the driver of the other vehicle were not injured. Woods was able to exit the passenger side of his vehicle following the rollover. Budensiek stated that investigators found signs of impairment in Woods during the crash.

The incident occurred on a two-lane road where Woods attempted to pass a pressure cleaner truck. He swerved to avoid a collision but clipped the back end of the trailer, causing his vehicle to roll onto its driver’s side. Woods refused to take a urine test after being asked by authorities.

Woods was charged with driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. Both charges are misdemeanors. This is at least the third time Woods has been involved in a car crash, following incidents in 2021 and 2017.

Woods’s manager did not respond to a text message seeking information about the incident. The golfer had recently returned to golf after undergoing a seventh back surgery in September. He had not yet decided whether he would participate in the upcoming Masters tournament.
