Quetta Train Attack Leaves 24 Dead, Over 50 Injured

A blast occurred on Sunday in Quetta, capital of Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan, targeting a train carrying military personnel. According to a senior official, at least 24 people have been killed and more than 50 injured in the attack.

The incident took place when an explosive-laden car hit one of the carriages of the train, resulting in a large explosion. The blast caused two carriages to overturn and catch fire, producing thick black smoke that filled the air. Nearby buildings were damaged, and over a dozen vehicles parked along the road were shattered.

Security forces are typically stationed in the area where the attack took place. The Balochistan Liberation Army separatist group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
