Emergency response teams have been deployed to assist victims, with five mobile intensive care units and four emergency critical care units present at the scene. All injured individuals have now been evacuated to receive medical attention. Andalusia’s regional government has also provided support, stating that their solidarity and support are being extended to those affected.

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, stating that Spain is experiencing a “night of deep pain” due to the tragic accident. Trains traveling from the Andalusia region to Madrid have been suspended, with services expected to be unavailable through at least Monday.

Eyewitness accounts describe the scene as chaotic, with one journalist reporting that the train’s last two carriages derailed and landed on their sides. The incident has left a significant impact on the community, with many expressing support for those affected.
