US President Donald Trump Discusses Health Concerns in Exclusive Interview
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal published Thursday, US President Donald Trump addressed concerns about his health and age. Trump, 79 years old, will be the oldest sitting president in US history if he completes his second term, surpassing his predecessor Joe Biden.
During the conversation, reporters asked Trump about his health, including recent appearances where he appeared to nod off during public events. Trump responded with some mild irritation, stating that he had been questioned about his health “for the 25th time.” He denied having any serious ailments and claimed his health is “perfect.”
Trump also clarified a previous statement about undergoing an MRI scan, which he later corrected to say he actually received a CT scan. He acknowledged that the procedure may have fueled speculation among critics and media outlets.
Regarding reports of him dozing off during meetings, Trump attributed the incidents to media manipulation, stating that they would “catch me with the blink” and create false rumors. However, he did admit to asking White House staff to adjust his schedule to focus on more important meetings.
One notable revelation from the interview was Trump’s high daily aspirin intake, which he claimed is necessary for thinning out his blood. He consumes approximately 325mg per day, exceeding the typical recommended dosage of 75mg.
Trump also discussed easy bruising on his hands, which he attributes to his aspirin regimen. To conceal this issue, he uses makeup. The interview provides a glimpse into Trump’s perspective on his health and age, as well as his responses to public scrutiny surrounding these topics.
