Trump Proposes Military Invasion of Iran Over Oil Resources

US Deploys Marines in Preparation for Potential Takeover of Iranian Oil Export Hub

The Trump administration has deployed US Marines to the Middle East as part of a military buildup aimed at securing Iran’s key oil export hub, Kharg Island. The deployment comes amid escalating tensions between the US and Iran, with the two countries engaging in a prolonged conflict.

According to President Donald Trump, his administration is considering various options for addressing Iran’s oil exports, including seizing control of Kharg Island. In an interview with the Financial Times newspaper, Trump stated that “some stupid people” within the US government oppose this plan, but he remains committed to pursuing it.

The deployment of additional US troops, including 3,500 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne, has been confirmed by US Central Command (CENTCOM). The military buildup is part of a broader effort to counter Iranian aggression in the region.

Iranian officials have warned that any attempt to seize control of Kharg Island would be met with targeted attacks on vital infrastructure. Iran’s parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has threatened to punish regional allies if US troops were to invade the country.

Meanwhile, top diplomats from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey have gathered in Islamabad to discuss de-escalation efforts in the conflict. Oil prices have surged due to the ongoing tensions, with Brent crude rising over 3% on Monday morning.

The Trump administration has presented a 15-point peace plan, which Iran has rejected in favor of its own conditions. The US president has stated that a ceasefire deal could be reached quickly, but emphasized that there are still many targets left to hit in the conflict.
