Bondi had been serving as the Attorney General since 2017 and was a key figure in the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s death. Despite her ouster, lawmakers have vowed to force her testimony regarding the Epstein files.

Trump is reportedly considering further cabinet changes following Bondi’s removal. Todd Blanche has taken over as Acting Attorney General.
