US accused by Iran of planning ground assault in region

Iran Experiences Power Outages Amid Escalating Conflict with Israel and US

Power outages have been reported in Tehran, as well as surrounding regions and Alborz province, according to a statement from Iran’s Ministry of Energy. The outages were attributed to attacks on electricity industry facilities.

In a statement, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, speaker of Iran’s parliament, accused the United States of plotting a ground attack. He also stated that Iranian forces are prepared to respond to any such attack.

The US has deployed thousands of military personnel to the Middle East, with reports indicating that they will be involved in limited ground operations in Iran. The Pentagon announced on Saturday that approximately 3,500 military personnel had arrived in the region.

Meanwhile, Israel launched airstrikes on sites used for research and development in Tehran on Sunday, according to the Israeli military. The attacks have resulted in damage to residential areas and educational facilities.

Iran’s Ministry of Health reported that 2,076 people have been killed since the start of the conflict, including 216 children. A university in Isfahan was hit by US-Israeli air strikes for the second time since the war began, leaving four staff members wounded.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has threatened to target Israeli or US universities in retaliation for previous attacks. Hossein Sadeghi, head of the Information and Public Relations Center at Iran’s Ministry of Education, stated that at least 250 students and teachers have been killed amid strikes on educational facilities across Iran since the conflict began.

A commercial building housing Qatar’s Al-Araby TV in Tehran was also damaged in an airstrike. The camera operator, Mohammadreza Shademan, described the incident as a “real miracle” that they survived without any military targets being hit.
